EVENT INFORMATION

ALL THE BITS & PIECES THAT YOU'LL NEED TO KNOW AHEAD OF THE EVENT

Venue

Please note - Gatcombe Park is not open to the public. Access is available only to those attending Mountain Mayhem and then only during the event opening times – 9am on Friday 16th – Monday 19th June 2017. There is strictly no access at any other time of the year.

Directions

On Police advice it is most important that you do not follow the way that your sat nav will tell you to come to Gatcombe Park, Gloucestershire, GL6 9AT.

You must head for AVENING on the B4014 out of NAILSWORTH. On your way out of Avening take the road immediately to the left of the Queen Matilda Tavern public house which is situated on a righthand bend. In effect you are going straight on so you will have the Queen Matilda Tavern public house on your right. Then, basically keep going until you see the signs directing you into the event site which will be on your left.

It is vitally important that you DO NOT go into Minchinhampton. The roads are single car width only and are difficult even on a good day.

Parking

On arrival there will be stewards that will direct you to your appropriate parking area. There is also a separate car park for day parking which will be clearly marked.

Please note: All non-competitors and spectators, except for disabled, must use the day parking area.  There is a separate disabled parking area sign posted.

If you think that you are going to need to go on and off site in your car during the weekend then you must set up camp and then remove your vehicle from the site and park in the day car park.

There is no charge for parking at Mountain Mayhem.

Camping

Gatcombe Park is primarily an equestrian site and we are very privileged to be able to hold Mountain Mayhem here. It is vitally important therefore that all tent pegs are removed from the site as a tent peg could cause serious injury to a horse. Please count the number of pegs you put in and the number of pegs you take out. Your cooperation in this matter is much appreciated. Thank you.

There are two main camping areas, Campsite A and Campsite B (map coming soon). Special camping for Soloists is located within Campsite B. There is also limited trackside camping which is available on a first come, first served basis.  Stewards will direct you to your chosen campsite.

We provide showers free of charge at the event which will be open from 1200 Saturday until 1400 Sunday. However, please be aware that this is not a guaranteed non-stop service throughout the event. There may be short intervals when the showers are not available for use.
